Yet to be.

Toward the edge.
Toward the place where I contact the world.

Humans have extracted the algorithms of our brains, externalized our intelligence, and started to artificially modify organisms on the earth. Where are we headed?
Organisms are moving. By moving, they transform, adapt and become present in their assumption of a dynamic equilibrium. The sensation of fragility and awareness of distant gazes from the past and the future include humans as a part of the whole while leading them beyond their limitations. Sensing something that is now in the process of being generated, profound something: that itself might be the future.
In insect ecology, an instar refers to the development stage between each larva molting. The 〈Rei / instar〉series focuses on time, a transformation, an ambiguity and a ritual symbolized by the phenomenon of " chrysalis," and attempts to create a space formed by the interrelationships of an environment, a body, sound and an image.

〈instar 01〉, in a large space with a ceiling height of 10m, composed a work that made us aware of "delay" and "parallel universe." The next 〈instar 02〉, moved into a very small space and focused on things that are ubiquitous while going back and forth in a sense of uncertainty. The latest 〈instar 03〉explores ways to perceive the world without dividing it in the tranquil space of Jochiji Temple, one of the five great temples of Kamakura.
